Customer Review: Pretty cool…
The artwork on these things are amazing, I’ve never even played the game before, and I love this artwork, I can look at it for hours. This is some of the most amazing works I’ve seen in a long time.
Customer Review: Amazing Potential
Me and some friends went out and got some packs in hopes of getting codes for the MMO. We unfortunately didn’t get any (they are pretty rare), but we sat down and tried the game out. Now, I am a dedicated magic player with years of experience and thousands of cards and frankly I had more fun with WoW then I ever did with Magic. The game play is much faster paced and far more exciting. Team play is easier to do as many cards take into account games where more then 2 people are playing. IMHO, Wizards of the Coast could be in serious trouble.
Pros:
-Fast gameplay
-Great team play
-Most Heroes are balanced, some need work (Feral Druids/Shadow Priests)
-Resources: MUCH better then Land
-Amazingly Fun
-Huge number of unimplemented features
Cons:
-Non-MMO players won’t appreciate some of the cards as much
-Many restrictions on who can use cards
-Huge number of unimplemented features
-Only 300-400 cards so far
Overall this is a great alternative to Magic, and I highly recommend it.

Kristin Lindsay makes child’s play of WoW. In fact, she makes child’s play of gaming in general and even of her work. That’s because Child’s Play, the charitable organization that brings games, books and cash to sick kids in children’s hospitals across North America, is her work. As project manager at Child’s Play, Kristin helps the organization raise millions of dollars worth of toys and cash for children’s hospitals and put a positive face on gamers and gaming. Child’s Play was created by Mike Krahulik and Jerry Holkins of the online comic strip Penny Arcade. This year, the group has raised $1,302,367, shooting to surpass last year’s $1.5 million total.
We dove into a niche in Kristin’s busy season to visit with her about her WoW habit, her work with Child’s Play and how we WoW players can help Child’s Play achieve a record-breaking year for hospitalized kids.

New from the Department of Old News (wait … wut?): We’re still nuts about papercrafting. While we’ve spotlighted papercraft before on the site, we haven’t featured it specifically on World of WarCrafts. Never let it be said that World of WarCrafts left a creative stone unturned!
Papercrafting is not the same thing as origami, which is the Japanese art of folding paper into intricate representations, preferably without cutting or glue. Papercrafting, in contrast, is the process of creating scale models from heavy, pre-printed paper or stock. Craftsy types download patterns rated by difficulty from sites such as World of Warcrafts Unofficial Papercrafts. Site manager Pascal was profiled last year by the Blizzard’s official European WoW community site. We talked to Pascal recently for a fresh spin on WoW papercrafting.
